Charly became a registered nurse in 2009 and worked at Bryan Health in the the ICU as a certified critical care nurse until 2013 when she became a nurse practitioner. In 2020, she completed a Doctorate of Nursing education with a focus in direct primary care. She then went on to obtain board certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Charly has been practicing medicine for the past decade. She has done a mix of urgent care, primary care, direct primary care, functional medicine, occupational medicine, virtual medicine, and aesthetics. She is also a faculty member in the family nurse practitioner program at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

Since having children Charly started questioning everything, and after pushing pills for every illness and complaint she realized she wasn't truly helping people. So for the past 5 years she has been exploring root cause medicine and diving deeper into her education on chronic illness.  

After discovering her passion for direct primary care and functional medicine, and with a little guidance from GOD, Charly realized the only way to help more people was to pave her own path. On her birthday - February 2, 2023 - Wellness Redefined, LLC Functional Medicine and Direct Primary Care was born. It will officially opened in the summer of 2023 in Seward, NE.

Charly is here to tell you that YOU deserve to be listened to and cared for holistically. Wellness Redefined was started with the goals of providing patients with informed consent, collaborating on treatment options, and identifying approaches that address the ROOT CAUSE of illness and disease. She is here to provide whole person healthcare and develop a relationship with YOU, the patient.
